Made up of Hawai'i's finest ensemble singers, Hawai'i Vocal Arts Ensemble (HVAE) is known for our tonal beauty and imaginative programming. The Ensemble is dedicated to bringing professional-level performances of significant choral repertoire to as wide an audience as possible.
Now in our eighteenth season, the Ensemble sings a wide range of repertoire, from Renaissance sacred music, classical Masses with chamber orchestra, romantic part songs and motets, folksongs, contemporary music, and popular standards.
HVAE gave the Hawai'i premiere of Handel's oratorio Solomon; we have sung with Jim Nabors and have appeared on the islands of Kaua'i, Maui, O'ahu, and Hawai'i. In 2002, HVAE was selected to perform at the Western Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association.
Hawai'i Vocal Arts Ensemble is pleased to serve as chorus-in-residence at Chaminade University of Honolulu. We are the resident chorus for the Hawai'i Vocal Masterworks Festival.
